LiveHockey is built so that teams are sorted into divisions and series. A series win will move your team up to the next highest division. All series contain 12 (twelve) teams.
LiveHockey League (LHL)
In the LHL division teams play from a ranking of 1 to 8 (one to eight) in playoff games. (Learn more about the playoffs under the heading "20. Playoffs") Elite division teams 9 and 10 (nine and ten) must play a qualifying match to try and remain in the Elite division. Teams number 11 and 12 (eleven and twelve) automatically go down to the lower division (Allsvenskan).
Other divisions
Under LHL division you will find 2 other divisions, Division 1. The teams that place first in these two divisions automatically go up to Elite. The teams that place second will play a qualifying match to try and get up to the LHL division. Teams that place in 3 to 8 will remain in the same division for the next season. Teams that place in spots 9 and 10 (nine and ten) must qualify to try and remain in Division 1. Teams that place 11 and 12 automatically will "go down" to Division 2.
Under Division 1 you will find division 2. The same rules as above listed apply for moving upa nd down the series/division system. The number of series found in each division doubles with every division under.

Moving up and down between divisions
The team that wins its series will play in the next highest division next season. The team that is best ranked in the lower division replaces the team's worst ranked team in a division above. In doing so you are not stuck in the same division where many good teams play. This also benefits the league system so the best teams easier pass through the league system.

You can also, at any time during the season, see which teams are on the bar to directly go up - or down: Direct move to new division.
Division 6 is currently the lowest series and therefore teams 9 through 12 will not be moved.
